This will mainly be a translation post regarding the upcoming version 9.2 patch for Tower of Saviors. Lately I’ve been a little too busy to write, but I will still translate important update patch notes whenever I can. So, let’s move on to the news article πŸ™‚

Not sure if this will be a good leader card. Reminds me of Ed leader teams, which I’m not very fond of, since there is no guaranteed strength on specific turns.

Active: For 1 turn, team attack x 1.5. If both leader and ally cards are identical, team attack x 2.5.

Pretty decent active. 2.5x team attack boosts are hard to come by, and normally would require very strict requirements (Horned King, Odin etc). So if you ever use a Green (or any kind of team actually, since it boosts team attack and not Green attack) team with identical leaders, be sure to include Alibaba in it!

Active: Turn all Green runes into Red runes. According to the number of Green runes converted, team attack is increased for 1 turn, to a max of 1.8x with 4 runes converted.

Pretty handy convert/booster. 1.8x is a significant boost, especially if you also convert this many runes!!

This red one, is also pretty good IMO. Maybe it isn’t built for things like Greek, but for combo count teams like Daji/Norse, high multiplier teams like Jackie and teams which are just plain sick like Ninurta, this card should come in pretty handy. Might not fit into most experienced players’ Ninurta teams though, since it is already very packed. But for players lacking 1 or 2 Nezhas, it might not be a bad idea to give this fairy a try πŸ™‚

Active: For 1 turn, self and adjacent members attack x 1.5. If the adjacent members’ attack is lower than the fairy’s, that member’s attack will x 3.5 instead.

PR RGB Blood Fiends Adjustments

Firstly, I’m sad. RIP Jack and Todd, you are not loved, and you shall remain as a collectible.

This change only applies to improved leader abilities when 2 Blood Fiends are used as ally and leader.

New leader (Elizabeth): Water attack x 2. By dissolving Blue, Red and Heart runes, Water attack receives bonus multiplier of 300% for that turn. Water attack multiplier next turn will be decreased by 1, to a minimum of 2.

So, the new RGB Blood Fiends’ base multiplier is changed to 2x, to a max of 3.5x by dissolving Blue runes every turn and charging up. If the player decides to use the bonus 3x multiplier by matching the required 3 rune types, the penalty next turn will only be 2 stacks off the current, meaning if you use it at max stacks 3.5x, next turn’s multiplier will be 2.5x. This change effectively reduces the shortcomings of Blood Fiend teams.

Now, upon entering the game for the first time after the update, players will be greeted with a short tutorial on interface and functional updates.

New “bring to top” function in backpack.

Players will be able to bring a specific card to the top of his backpack list. This enables ease of access to the card, and does not stack with the “favourite” function. Hence, for cards that you do not want to mistakenly sell or feed away, do remember to still favourite them!

So players can now auto-equip crafts to a team now. The system prioritizes rarity and color/member aspects of a craft (not really sure how intelligent it is), so lazy players going into easy battles can save time by using this new feature.

To enable new players to understand the world of crafts better, upon reaching level 10, they will be prompted to enter a crafts tutorial. More advanced players can also access the tutorial from the main menu.

Seeing that the last round of attack was only achieved with normal spinning, rune conversion and the Green fairy’s boost, it’s not too shabby. Though I seriously doubt the power of Norse now, Green fairy should see quite some play in a variety of teams in the near future πŸ™‚

So this Chinese game is a pinball genre game where you drag and shoot your characters (in the form of pinballs on board) to strike enemies and destroy them. Judging from the number of characters in this game, it looks well-established… but the graphics are abit outdated IMO. Well anyways itΒ has got nothing to do with this ToS update, and we simply are gna have a new series of cards based on this game πŸ™‚

The article kinda suggests that the way to obtain these new cards would be from weekly special stages.

And upon fulfilling certain conditions in the stages, EXTRA stages can be unlocked and encountered!

So as you might guess, we can now play pinball in ToS too ._. The exact mechanism is unknown but it looks more fun than some of the minigames we already have…

Pre-condition: Used by Fire members
Charge-up: Dissolve Fire runes (first batch only)

To play, drag the character balls to aim, bump runes within 20 seconds to obtain points. Attacking special icons will reward you with additional points and combos. By successfully destroying a rune, it will become enchanted. By destroying the enchanted rune, the corresponding element will enjoy attack bonus.

Greek Beasts Power-Release :O

For older players like me, the first reaction would be “ABOUT TIME, Madhead!”. Well, these cute pets have been around plaguing our lives and our Seal Card machine for as long as I can remember, and back then they appear in hordes as Silver card draws and selling them don’t refund souls and…. I’m already weeping tears of Little Griffins and Evil Goats thinking about it.

However, as a Dark player, I must commend how valuable a Baphomet is (and Red players should love their Cerbs, at least while thinking about how Green players have Medusa for their Greek Beast ._.) and how much I still use him even to this day. Thank you, dear Baphomet(s).

Do watch the official video below if you are curious what this Dark Beast team can do πŸ™‚ Pretty convenient and powerful I must say.

Though these cute beasts have now been removed from the Diamond Seal drawer, I do not miss them. But I agree that newer players should be allowed to obtain them, especially those simple, solid converters that everyone loves. So it is said that they will soon make their way into a special drawer.

 

Enchantress Amelioration πŸ˜€

I’ve been thinking they would never be given upgrades like PR and Amelioration, since they are still one of the most powerful series after so long. But then, if cards are given weak Amelioration abilities, that means their fates are sealed.

Nothing much to say here. Ame II gives a column 4 runes = ?% bonus attack, while Ame IV gives reduction in initial cooldown (from 10 to 6 for Circe).

IMO, Enchantresses are powerful, and their actives should not be boosted any further (except for maybe.. Circe, cos she sucks in the current Daji meta) at least for now. So an attack boost via column dissolve is good to have, especially for Babylons and Greeks. The initial cooldown reduction, however, is rather weak. One might see it as “Let’s turn her on faster so that we can start dealing TONS OF DAMAGE faster and win” but really it’s never really safe to activate them most of the time until you are dealing those killing blows at the boss stage. Will you reach the boss of GM/SM stages within 6 turns? I think/hope not.

If you are one of those players that no guild wants, and happen to be complaining about not being able to access black key stuff, this is the patch for you. All “free” players are now considered part of the worldwide guild, and can access some of the guild privileges around.

Simply click on the castle to access WORLD GUILD. (Only applicable for players without a guild)

So for the first time ever, we are getting a new “map” at the “homepage”!! Swipe down from the normal page to access the new map. The castle on the top left hand side can be used to access the Guild interface, and will progressively enlarge (develop) as you level up your guild! The top right floating thingy is used to access PVP and multiplayer. Multiplayer spirits count will also be displayed above the PVP structure. The statue below is reserved for future events so stay tuned! More buildings and structures will come in the near future, along with many new features in ToS πŸ™‚

It’s been some time since we last saw a new dragon face. Now, a new series of dragons will arrive once again, but sticking to the current trend of racial harmony in ToS, they will enjoy bonuses with Gods and Fiends (ermm.. i forgot the new name for them).

Pretty good active really, since the drawback is minimal. Not often will you desperately need to heal the turn after a burst, unless in Transmigration where you have to use a same active more than once. Else, just leave this skill near the end of a battle, or whenever you have full HP and can take a hit or the mob next turn doesn’t have CD1…. the list goes on and as you can see, it’s pretty manageable πŸ™‚

No new Power Release for this patch, but Amelioration for one of the strongest series in the game is still great πŸ™‚ JttW cards will generally enjoy a boost in Atk and HP.

So now Ao Guang (and his mega double convert siblings) turns all Blue runes under him into enchanted. Additionally, the next CD will be reduced to 6? Not entirely sure what it meant, but I’m guessing it would be too OP to let his CD be PERMANENTLY reduced to 6.

Additionally, I think the article suggests Wukong’s leader ability gets upgraded too, to 80% damage reduction…

Daji, on the other hand gives boost to Atk and Rec as long as you dissolve 3 or more runes under her.

Further changes have been implemented for guild missions. New missions and stages have been introduced, allowing players to gather materials in addition to obtaining the black keys when completing them!

Very good damage IF all the actives are used! The flaw I see would be that 20% damage reduction is not really useful in this team, especially if you have 2 of these actives D:
