This will mainly be a translation post regarding the upcoming version 9.1 patch for Tower of Saviors. It’s been quite a while since the previous patch and as usual, I’m always waiting for new patches for some new stuff to do in the game… Looks like this patch will either be introduced end April or May.

So this Chinese game is a pinball genre game where you drag and shoot your characters (in the form of pinballs on board) to strike enemies and destroy them. Judging from the number of characters in this game, it looks well-established… but the graphics are abit outdated IMO. Well anyways it has got nothing to do with this ToS update, and we simply are gna have a new series of cards based on this game 🙂

The article kinda suggests that the way to obtain these new cards would be from weekly special stages.

So as you might guess, we can now play pinball in ToS too ._. The exact mechanism is unknown but it looks more fun than some of the minigames we already have…

Pre-condition: Used by Fire members

To play, drag the character balls to aim, bump runes within 20 seconds to obtain points. Attacking special icons will reward you with additional points and combos. By successfully destroying a rune, it will become enchanted. By destroying the enchanted rune, the corresponding element will enjoy attack bonus.

Greek Beasts Power-Release :O

For older players like me, the first reaction would be “ABOUT TIME, Madhead!”. Well, these cute pets have been around plaguing our lives and our Seal Card machine for as long as I can remember, and back then they appear in hordes as Silver card draws and selling them don’t refund souls and…. I’m already weeping tears of Little Griffins and Evil Goats thinking about it.

However, as a Dark player, I must commend how valuable a Baphomet is (and Red players should love their Cerbs, at least while thinking about how Green players have Medusa for their Greek Beast ._.) and how much I still use him even to this day. Thank you, dear Baphomet(s).

Though these cute beasts have now been removed from the Diamond Seal drawer, I do not miss them. But I agree that newer players should be allowed to obtain them, especially those simple, solid converters that everyone loves. So it is said that they will soon make their way into a special drawer.

 

Enchantress Amelioration 😀

I’ve been thinking they would never be given upgrades like PR and Amelioration, since they are still one of the most powerful series after so long. But then, if cards are given weak Amelioration abilities, that means their fates are sealed.

Nothing much to say here. Ame II gives a column 4 runes = ?% bonus attack, while Ame IV gives reduction in initial cooldown (from 10 to 6 for Circe).

IMO, Enchantresses are powerful, and their actives should not be boosted any further (except for maybe.. Circe, cos she sucks in the current Daji meta) at least for now. So an attack boost via column dissolve is good to have, especially for Babylons and Greeks. The initial cooldown reduction, however, is rather weak. One might see it as “Let’s turn her on faster so that we can start dealing TONS OF DAMAGE faster and win” but really it’s never really safe to activate them most of the time until you are dealing those killing blows at the boss stage. Will you reach the boss of GM/SM stages within 6 turns? I think/hope not.

If you are one of those players that no guild wants, and happen to be complaining about not being able to access black key stuff, this is the patch for you. All “free” players are now considered part of the worldwide guild, and can access some of the guild privileges around.

It’s been half a year and they are back. Well, players outside TW/HK will still be unable to obtain those Disney cards, and will have to settle for the Demon versions like Marbas and Valac (unless you VPN or something, which I will try…). Once again, their specific seal card drawer will return and those cards can only be obtained through it. Do not doubt the chance of getting that legendary garbage Marchosias and other useless stuff (like Vepar), since they are very much higher than say, drawing a Stolas/Maleficent. If you have gotten 100 Muyues before that precious YuWunTuo from the recent XuanYuan Sword drawer, good luck with this.

It’s been a long time and they are finally receiving some buffs.

Leader abilities of Cancer and Scorpio has been upgraded! By using the same Leader/Ally, total multiplier is increased to 900%. If Leader/Ally are both Cancer, their actives will also be changed to fire twice, dealing 2 x (150 x attack) as non-elemental damage to all mobs.

When single attack is made, attack x 250%. If earth, fire and dark are dissolved, the effect is increased to x 400%. It says: chain 2 adjacent same element runes, and pick another rune of the same element elsewhere to dissolve. To cancel chains, simply tap repeatedly on the chained runes, this does not affect combo count. If enchanted runes are dissolved, all same element runes on board will be dissolved.

[ToS] [Guide] 8.1 is here!! Let’s hurry up and… PR Daji Amelioration :P

The new patch (8.1) is out! While I usually don’t do much nowadays even after patches, this time round my long-time ally card (PR Daji) is clearly dying to be Ameliorated, so I have to do eeeet 😀

So, Ame 4 PR Daji time!

Notes:
1) Each Amelioration battle takes 20 stamina.
2) Total Souls needed to achieve Ame 4 = 1250 souls
3) Most stages involve getting high number of combos or dissolving many runestones of your element in order to deal damage. Once you meet the criteria, though, the boss drops like a fly.
5) Most enemies (except Ame4) all bear the skull, meaning if your do not kill them before their first CD is up, YOU FAIL.

 

Amelioration 1

Souls required: 100
Stamina required: 20
No. of stages: 2
Ally: Max Fox De vil CD20

Stage 1: Dissolve 5 or more Dark runes to deal damage. Enemy CD: 8.

Stage 2: Dissolve 6 or more Dark runes to deal damage. Enemy CD: 8.

Overall, pretty straightforward stuff. Get the required number of combos that turn and the boss will die in 1 hit. I play more on the safe side for this, and saved the required runes on board before I dissolve, thus removing the luck factor involved in relying on skyfall. Take your time..

 

Amelioration 2

Souls required: 200
Stamina required: 20
No. of stages: 2
Ally: Max non-pr Daji CD22

Stage 1: 4 x revive “friends” Light pawns. To put it simply, perform a full attack and proceed. Enemy CD: 2/3.

Stage 2: 2 x creatures that require dissolving 9 or more Dark runes at once to kill. 9 or more needs some skill in storing runes so be careful. Enemy CD: 8.

Stage 2 requires storing of Dark runes and you need to be careful not to let skyfall ones take away your stored runes. 8 turns is still a long time though even if you make 1 or 2 mistakes.

 

Amelioration 3

Souls required: 350
Stamina required: 20
No. of stages: 2
Ally: GSS ._.

Stage 1: 4 or more combos to deal damage. Enemy damage: 1542, CD: 2.

Stage 2: 8 or more combos to deal damage. Enemy damage: 1897, CD: 2.

So, stage 1 is pretty easy, and it’s best to take your time in stage 1. Not that it matters though, since with your PR Daji’s high Recovery, the damage dealt to you is easily healed even with just 1 set of Heart runes! Stage 2 calls for your Daji active, since 8 combos is really pretty hard from raw spinning. Be careful to count the number of sets you have on board before using the active though, as it is still very likely to not have 8 combos even when using the active!

 

Amelioration 4 ^^

Stamina required: 20

Ally: GSS 😀

Stage 1: This YangJian’s HP decreases by 10% each turn and you can’t damage him otherwise. Enemy damage: 1012, CD: 1. 2 turns will drop you to about 20% HP, which is easily healed up. Hence, if you are short of Heart runes, heal every 2 turns and clear as much of the board as possible to make way for more Heart runes.

Stage 2: Rune-spinning time reduced to 2 sec. Enemy damage: 2025, CD: 3. Again, this calls for you to stall till your Daji active, and it also means you cannot clear this Ame if your Daji has HP lower than 2025. CD3 makes it easy to stall, despite the 2 sec spinning time, so plan out your route well before attempting! Once you get your active, he’s a piece of cake ^^

 

So, I recorded the battle in Ame 4. For your reference. As usual, please forgive lousy rune-spinning and stuff ._. I’m not a pro.

And that’s all for now! This is considered very easy stuff to clear and I hope all my many many many PR Daji allies spend some time Ameliorating her! Goodluck Havefun!
