This will mainly be a translation post regarding the upcoming version 9.0 patch for Tower of Saviors. I’ve been wondering why that previous 9.0 update had no new series or stages like the usual large x.0 patches, but here it is 🙂 Anyways, let’s proceed…
– All information about new features or cards and abilities are extracted from the news articles online. My input will only be deductions or guesses built upon those information.
– As with all translations, info may be lost or changed to a certain extent. This is mainly due to the fact that for the majority of the info, only a 1-sentence description has been provided in the article without video evidence of how detailed mechanics work. Thus, certain deductions have to be made on vague descriptions.
– The main article or source will be linked at the bottom of the post.
– Sources which were written in English and do not need to be translated will only be linked.
The 8th Seal
At the 8th seal, players will be required to return to previous islands to clear 3 achievements before they can unlock new stages.
New Series: Ancient Humans
Leader Abilities: Self element atk x 250%. For every column where there are 4 or more runes dissolved, 1 rune of self element will drop in that column. Only the first batch of runes dissolved will be considered.
RGB Actives: For 1 turn, rune spinning time is lengthened by 3s. If a group of 6 or more runes (of self element) is dissolved, team attack x 150%.
L/D Actives: Not clearly stated, but suggests using Light/Dark runes with Heart runes to trigger 150% attack as well. Also has the 3 seconds prolonged rune spinning time.
Babylon Gods will also be released in special stages in the future.
Active: For 1 turn, Green attack and recovery x 150%. If there are 3 or more Gods in the team, Green attack bonus is raised to 200%.
Leader: Green attack x 200%.
Return of Disney/72 Demon Series and Amelioration
It’s been half a year and they are back. Well, players outside TW/HK will still be unable to obtain those Disney cards, and will have to settle for the Demon versions like Marbas and Valac (unless you VPN or something, which I will try…). Once again, their specific seal card drawer will return and those cards can only be obtained through it. Do not doubt the chance of getting that legendary garbage Marchosias and other useless stuff (like Vepar), since they are very much higher than say, drawing a Stolas/Maleficent. If you have gotten 100 Muyues before that precious YuWunTuo from the recent XuanYuan Sword drawer, good luck with this.
Marbas and Malphas will get column dissolve 5 or more for attack bonus, while Vepar’s damage reduction and dodging active (wow) gets lengthened to 5 turns ._.
It is stated that the multiplier will be further increased in upcoming patches to 4.5, so combined multiplier of 2025% 😀
Disney Villains will now appear in special stages in the future.
Zodiacs Power Release!!
It’s been a long time and they are finally receiving some buffs.
For Aries, Aquarius and Virgo, attack and recovery multipliers will be increased. By dissolving respective enchanted runes and runes of the ally’s color, further damage boost is rewarded (not really sure what it means).
Taurus, Capricorn, Pisces and Leo’s damage reduction Leader abilities can now be stacked to further reduce specific elements’ damage (not specified how it is done).
As for Pisces and Capricorn’s actives, when they are activated after they start to glow, runes converted will become enchanted.
Leader abilities of Cancer and Scorpio has been upgraded! By using the same Leader/Ally, total multiplier is increased to 900%. If Leader/Ally are both Cancer, their actives will also be changed to fire twice, dealing 2 x (150 x attack) as non-elemental damage to all mobs.
Hertz… I think I like this PR.
When single attack is made, attack x 250%. If earth, fire and dark are dissolved, the effect is increased to x 400%. (credits to Arigato and necropuddi for pointing it out) Arigato has a post regarding some of the leaked descriptions of new skills, so curious players might want to consider studying the list here!
Interface and Quality of Life Upgrades ❤
It says: chain 2 adjacent same element runes, and pick another rune of the same element elsewhere to dissolve. To cancel chains, simply tap repeatedly on the chained runes, this does not affect combo count. If enchanted runes are dissolved, all same element runes on board will be dissolved.
Max level of Guilds has been raised to 15. Now, players can set a specific card as their Guild Ally card specifically for the use of other Guild members.
It is said that the Guild ally card can be used repeatedly, but no friend points will be rewarded!
So good. Us slime hell veterans can only sigh.
